# ShibǎSwap

ShibaSwap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Ethereum blockchain and launched in July 2021. It's the native exchange of the Shiba Inu coin (SHIB), a popular meme coin inspired by the Japanese dog breed of the same name. Think of it as a marketplace where you can swap different cryptocurrencies directly with each other, without needing a central authority like a bank or exchangeShibaSwap offers a variety of features similar to other DEXs like Uniswap and PancakeSwap, including:

* **Token Swapping:** You can trade various cryptocurrencies, including SHIB, LEASH (another token in the Shiba Inu ecosystem), and other Ethereum-based tokens.
* **Liquidity Pools:** Users can provide liquidity to the platform by pooling their tokens together, which allows for others to easily swap between them and earn passive income in the form of trading fees.
* **Staking:** You can lock your SHIB tokens in a "dig" pool to earn rewards in BONE, the governance token of ShibaSwap.
* **Yield Farming:** You can participate in "bury" pools to earn even higher rewards by depositing your BONE or LEASH tokens.
* **Shiboshis:** ShibaSwap also has its own NFT marketplace called Shiboshis, where you can buy and sell unique digital collectibles featuring the Shiba Inu dog.

One of the main goals of ShibaSwap is to increase the utility and value of the SHIB token.
